The opening section to this track offers no clues that it's going to be an orchestral piece. There are only synths, and they're slow and moody. Then suddenly the waterphones burst in and the orchestra joins a second later, leading into the main motif of the track.
The orchestra could easily have been a bit more dynamic (it sounds somewhat fake right now), but I never got around to it. The theme is still strong, with some very dramatic chord changes.
I do another feint in the middle of the track, devolving the whole thing into the same synths as in the beginning, fooling the listener into thinking it's over. But then I break out the percussion, leading into the true climax.
